Cavalry world cup score animation

Gallery
Description
Overview
A faithful recreation of the World Cup broadcast score animation, built entirely in Cavalry. This project showcases Cavalry's procedural node system — what would take hours of keyframing and expressions in After Effects is generated automatically from a single shape.
How it works
- One base rectangle or custom shape drives the entire animation
- A duplicator node generates all the repeated elements, with a stagger behavior and shape offset attribute creating the cascading effect
- A local Smart Folder pulls in team images automatically
- A custom CSV file powers team names and scores for each match
Key features
- Fully procedural — edit the source shape, and the whole animation updates
- Data-driven — swap teams and scores via a simple CSV, no re-keyframing
- Live control — adjust elements in real time with Cavalry Control Center
- Cavalry vs After Effects showcase — see the node-based workflow in action
Perfect for
- Sports broadcast-style score bugs
- Tournament brackets
- Live match graphics
- Lower thirds
