AI startup Manus raises $500 million, funding tracker reports
Details
The tracker view
The report logs rounds by announcement date rather than by rumour or leak. Manus sits alone at the top of the October 8 list at $500 million, with the investor column left blank; a day later the same tracker records another $500 million line tied to a Chinese company, suggesting follow-up coverage of the same event.
A crowded October
Other entries on the tracker's October lists include Arlington's $140 million Series B on October 6, Between's $116 million round and Vitalize's $31 million Series A on October 12, plus earlier-stage cheques such as GUDEA and Wavena.
Weekly totals
A separate running tally counted 53 AI rounds announced between October 12 and 17, of which 42 disclosed dollar amounts totalling roughly $956 million. Most AI cheques are therefore small, even in a month where individual rounds reach nine figures.
What to watch
Agent companies have drawn heavy capital on the argument that autonomous software can be sold per task rather than per seat. The open question is retention: whether enterprises renew once novelty fades and agents are judged on cost per completed job rather than on demos.
