Google has made Gemini 4 Argon the default model for new AlphaEvolve experiments, replacing Gemini 3.8 Flash from 26 October. Experiments that do not name a model now run on Argon automatically, and are billed accordingly.
OpenAI has released GPT-6.1 Terra to all Plus, Pro, Enterprise and Edu users in ChatGPT Work and Codex, and to developers through its API. The company prices it at $1 per million input tokens and $5 per million output tokens, saying it matches its older GPT-6 Astra at about a tenth of the price per token.
Apple says a "small number" of iPhone Duo owners have reported the foldable's inner screen cracking near a weak spot in the hinge, and that affected users should contact AppleCare. The foldable only recently reached stores at close to $2,000, making early durability the first real test of the design.
